An award winning 'picual' extra virgin olive oil, with a natural acidity of 0.1° - outstanding quality, taste and health benefits. It is from the south of Spain, the Alpujaras, near Almeria. This area is very dry (it is dessert) and has the most sun hours a year in Europe. The terroir in the Parque Nacional del Desierto de Tabernas is very good for growing the Picual olive as this olive is native here. The olives are hand picked and the ripe ones are pressed the same day. The result is a fruity but butter soft extra virgin oil.
